Are you interested in refreshing or growing your day-to-day spirituality?
You’re invited to join us for this one-time session on Evelyn Underhill’s Everyday Mysticism.
Evelyn Underhill was an Anglican laywoman and pioneer in the 20th century study of mysticism and spirituality.
She was the first woman to give a series of lectures on theology at Oxford University and was the author of over thirty books, including Practical Mysticism: A Little Book for Normal People.
In our time together, we will consider several of Underhill’s approaches to instill meaning and coherence into the personal and practical stuff of everyday existence…what she referred to as “our scattered lives.”
Our activities will include presentation by the leader, group discussion, and individual reflection.
Paula Hart, Abbey Council member, will lead this session. Paula first learned about Evelyn Underhill while studying spiritual direction at Sacred Ground Center for Spirituality in St. Paul, Minnesota.
9 – 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 13th
Price: $20 per participant (refreshments and coffee included)
